Somers Point sits on Great Egg Harbor Bay at the mainland end of the Route 52 causeway to Ocean City. The city combines older bayfront blocks, marinas and a Bay Avenue waterfront district with inland residential streets closer to Route 9 and the Garden State Parkway.
